They start from $0.50 to $ 5.00 maybe the $8.00. Then Academy also carries vinyls that are rare and important would cost you up to couple hundred bucks. A great store!  We got about 20 + vinyls today and what’s after? Headed out to the Guitar Center. We were buying the turn tables and speakers. Woo- Hoo!!

Now at the Guitar shop!!!  You know what? We rocked our soul out at the Guitar Center. Who knew the Guitar shop was all that fun? I mean forget about Chukee Cheese. Life is way Way better at the Guitar Center!

Hahahahahaha, Are you jealous that I’m rocking the triple deck key boards here?  You know I do play piano quite awesomely, so this is not just all act. But, the Miu Miu sunglasses? Yes. I thought it would help! Whatever, I had fun with it!

I didn’t realize Gael’s Tee shirt had record graphic on till now! What a cool kid…! Honestly we couldn’t get enough out of all the key boards and instrumental toys from the Guitar shop. We were cruising, playing and jamming(? haha)  with even other professionals at the shop.  It was a hell out of time there we had!

What’s next… Hmmm We are ITCH to plan a dance party now under” Lacasapark” with one of the hottest DJs in Italy, GiGi. A dear friend of ours and brother of Beppe, who is coming to NY in June for Beppe’s concert.  Will see. Brewing an idea!!!!!!!!  Find me jamming on the triple deck keyboards with GiGi if that happens!

artist Ail Hossaini at the ise cultural foundation @ 555 broadway

between Prince and Spring.

A celebration of music and video art with proceeds to benefit our ongoing support

for the arts.

The Benefit includes multiple channels of video art

in the street and in White Box’s gallery, Buttoh dance by the Vangeline Theatre,

installations, urban projection and DJs spinning late night dance grooves.

After that, an after party at white box!!

@ 329 Broome Street between bowery and allen, as a fund raiser.
Artists, Djs, dancers will be partying all night after the opening.

Participating artists include Seth Carnes, Ali Hossaini, Hye Rim Lee, Shantell Martin, Devan Simunovich,

I got to get on a tramp, metro and double deck Bus ( upper level)!  to get to the theater. What a nice experience!! You can pretty much walk everywhere in East Berlin to all the attractions and actually a bicycle would be the perfect to browse the East Berlin. But to go over to West side of Berlin, it can take you easily over an hour of commute depends on the distance and traffic during the day. The entire Berlin is about 9 times bigger than Paris. So it’s huge.

I was bit nervous about the play, Megalopolis because I have zero German, but hey, I give it a try! 

German, Japanese, Portuguese, Korean, French and American, total of 10 amazing casts, really Rocked my World!  Passionate and talented. There was more of experimental modern dancing than ton of dialogues in this play and also each native spoke or sometimes sing their lines in their own language definitely was unique and also helped me to follow along. But even the whole portion of German or Portuguese was actually very interesting experience I had because at the end,  the physical expression, the tone of the voice and the musical sound came to me as mega package of pure emotion. I found myself getting goose bumps and my heart beats fast.

My understanding of Megalopolis is a space,  a metropolitan city where people from all around the world come together and interact and survive each others in chaos, strong emotions as anger, sorrow, humor, fear and their social status as a certain race, rich, poor, gay, straight, powered, authority and anything else you can imagine. Interesting. And very entertaining performance. Each one of the cast had distinctive personality and strength. The experimental music and sound was quite amazing. Having seen this play sitting in a theater filled with Berliners was a definitely meaningful experience to me. Also it wasn’t like seeing a Blue man group or something. This wasn’t a commercial main stream. This was rather a great chance for me to lick the surface of what Berlin could offer as their distinctive modern culture.

Edgar says, “Well, Hasta los Huesos is a 9 minute short film that took 2 years and a half to finish it, you know, everything was sponsored, materials, film, and everybody’s work. About 80% of the sound design was made specifically for this short and the other 20% was from sound libraries. It took me almost 4 months to do the 9 minutes, and mix it in THX.
I remember playing 64 tracks at the same time, it was awesome! The music was done by the best Mexican rock band called Cafe Tacuba. The animation is in stop motion which is frame by frame, and the director is Rene Castillo from Guadalajara.”

Mod is short for Modernism, a term originally applied to fans of modern jazz, as opposed to traditional jazz.  London and Brighton were the places where a blend of music, night life, fashion and scooters became a way of life. Although the mod scene was eclipsed by hippy psyche-delis st the end of the 60’s, it made a strong come back a decade later.

Inspired by this musical heritage, the 3 friends from Gij’on had started Euroyeye’ (music popular  during the 1960s in France and Spain is known as ye’ ye’)in 1994 for the first time with only 4 groups performing, but over the years it has become one of the word’s premier mod festivals. Mods say modern technology helps today’s mods to maintain that impeccable style. Like eBay. Or they would be tailored by dressmakers. It’s like you know certain steps in your dance to the certain music, and it’s that certain cut of the collar and turn-up of your trousers. It’s all in the detail.

We ( Anna, Keith, Nancy, Carlos and Jaehee) were able to get in to the theater around 8:30 pm, and by the time Miss Jones was on the stage opening her show under this shimmery fluid yards and yards of jersey fabric standing underneath like 10 feet tall was maybe around way after 9:00.  The show was supposed to start at 8:00, but hey it’s A-Very -DIVA-Thing to be late in her very much Fashionable way.

Miss Jones had magnificently put together outfits for each and every song she performed for and sang. How lucky we were! There were 80’s Thierry Mugler  and Versace-ish moments with her hard and very shinny bake-lite like corsets. And of course every outfit had these hats. These sculptor-like greatness she put on her head.

Then she would be in this perfectly glittered top-hat and a pair of matching bedazzled jump suit in clear Swarovski crystals.  This moment was a total juxtaposition of Bjork and Playboy.  Then this is not enough.  Now she is standing under her white and sharp laser beam showering and hammering on her crystallized  top-hat making maximum of maximum effect of explosion of lights for all of us.  It felt like a triumph.  I felt like I won something. It felt awesome and somehow full filling with excitement and yet sense of relief.

I may have to write all night to describe all the outfits and all the gifts of beauty and emotions she gave us through her performances.

What a women, What a voice and what an Authority this woman has.

She liked engaging with audience. Her witty and snappy words. She made us laugh. She was adorable.

She made it clear we knew she was there.
