I'm a Gilded Age fanatic and would have loved to have been able to study the Gibson Girl outfits in person. Your photos will have to do! ;-) So, thanks for posting them. :-) Almost as terrifying as the waists: the hair! A matted, dreadlocked appearance there. Is that the way hair looked back in those days, or are we simply seeing the ravages of time on the wigs?
