Alexander Wang mixed Y -3 in his collection, so I needed to check out what Y-3 would do for this season. Not the Foot ball as American Rugby but the Foot Ball as British Soccer. And I do love it. Especially his well tailored pants and good jackets and his usual best of the show, the styling. The slap on your face. The mix of surprise but the pleasant one. Sometimes “literal” way to design things brings out the most successful result. The netting looks sexy and edge yet soft and feminine. The art of mixing his Avant garde -meets-the Street -a la Soccer is so much fun. And again I can’t stress enough how important his tailored pieces are in his collection to ground and pull all the pieces together for the look. So cool!
