I see another Phillip Lim frenzy is arriving. At the end, you don’t wear clothes to shock people (well, maybe sometimes) but You just want to look good. Lim’s strongest quality and maybe the most envious skill he has in Economy like this right now would be the ” balancing commercial buy-ability and designer’s personal point of view on design’.
In other words, Phillip Lim’s clothes are wearable and desirable.
I would wear all of them for work, dinner, go out, wedding, concert and everywhere else. They are chick in tasteful colors with right amount of details and cut just right in interesting ways. Well edited. Editing takes a lot from one. It takes one fine professionalism and transparency to comprehend yourself as an artist and a designer and also a clothing maker for the people.
